Isaac Charles Acquah
Chartered Global Investment Analyst (CGIA).
Isaac Charles Acquah is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and the Institute of Directors, Ghana. He is also a Chartered Global Investment Analyst (CGIA). He is presently the Group Managing Director of National Trust Holding Company (NTHC), the premier Investment Banking Firm in Ghana since 1976. At NTHC, he oversees six (6) subsidiary companies operating in the finance, real estate and commodities trading sectors of the economy. Before assuming that role, he worked as an Independent Financial Services Consultant where he provided advisory to facilitate clients transactions notably, the evaluation of Climate Smart Cocoa implementation in Ghana through Agro Eco-Loius Bolk Institute with funding from the World Cocoa Foundation.. He had also in the past, built a financial module for the Fair Wages & Salaries Commission to evaluate the implementation of the Single Spine Salary scheme in Ghana. He also worked as Chief Executive Officer of Algebra Capital Management Ltd, a SEC licensed start-up Investment Management and Advisory Firm. Prior to Algebra Capital, he had worked as Financial Controller for the Investment Banking Subsidiaries of First Atlantic Bank Ltd after he had previously served in several accounting roles within the bank since the year 2004. From First Atlantic Bank, he was engaged by Tullow Oil to structure and administer its staff pension fund over a two & a half year period. Besides his banking & finance career, he also worked in the Public Sector, Health Sector, Timber Industry, Pharmaceutical Sector, and the Steel & Iron Industry performing various middle to senior level finance roles from 1998 to 2004. Over the journey of his career, he has developed an exemplary skill set in corporate governance, financial administration, financial technology, investment advisory & transaction structuring among others. Lastly but not the least, he is a Santaclaucian and the immediate past Global Vice-President, Finance & Administration for the Adisadel Old Boys Association.

He currently serves as the Country Talent Lead at Absa Bank Ghana, where he leads strategic efforts in Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development and Leadership Development. He’s also well experienced in Organizational Effectiveness, Workforce Planning and Employee Engagement. Isaac is passionate about reimagining people practices through technology, innovation, and the use of AI, with experience in integrating digital learning, ERP platforms, and AI tools into HR solutions. He is a trusted advisor to senior leaders, known for driving business-aligned people strategies, building resilient workforces, and shaping strong employer brands. He’s a member of CIPD and SHRM and very passionate about young graduate mentoring.

He holds top-tier professional credentials: ACMA, CGMA, CA, CGIA, CFA, FCILG, MIoD, and is a Mandela Washington Fellow. He earned a Doctorate in Business Administration, an MPhil in Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship, and has studied at Swiss Business School, Kellogg, Wharton, and ENCG‑Agadir. Named one of 2022’s Most Influential Young Economists in Sub‑Saharan Africa, he is currently Head of International Relations at AAMUSTED and CEO of Xtart Biz Consult – bridging academia and business. Dr. Duah is the author of “Intentional Wealth 2.0” and convener of the Intentional Wealth Concourse, mentoring over 100 young leaders annually through his TDM Club.
